I haven't done a site plan in a very long time and after doing some reading thru some help files and other websites, I am having trouble entering coordinates for a site plan. As you will see in the attached jpg, I am getting an error while trying to enter the following and other coordinates. My units is set to surveyor units (the unusually large command line is just show you what I have tried to enter. north is to the top of the screen.)
what I did
Line: pick point (enter)
Specify next point or [Undo]: @34.13<s179d57'00"w
Point or option keyword required.
I am not sure what I am doing wrong, but if I remove the "@" symbol and "n" or "e" directions, the lines go what ever which way.
Can anyone help me.
Thanks in advance
A pdf file was sent to me by our PM, who received it from the developer. I am not sure if the info is azimuth as you mentioned. how can I tell?
On a separate note, I was given the I believe the following info
A=21.55 (This is arc length correct)
R=13.72 (this is obvious radius)
Thanks for you help so far.
Azimuth is measurement from assumed north, measure clockwise in degrees and no direction given such as NW, NE,SW,SE.
No surveyor would give you direction more than 90 degrees in one quadrant.
okay i think i understand,
well some of the bearing measurements that I have been given are shown below. (no direction info was given) i know it is hard to do a site plan without the direction, but this is the only information that was available from what I've been told.
I see what i can do
