i have a drawing with piping goint from point a to point b. now i have bends & pipe pieces all are connected to each other. what i would like is to know the lenght of the whole traject. i can get a list of all centerlines of the parts and manually do the calaculation. getting distance from the inquiry tool bar also does not give me what i want since it asks me of two points, not of multi points untill i end the command ang give me the total result... not to mention bends (arcs) because that is yet another command from the inquiry... so! how can i get this result.
Put the centerlines on one layer, turn off all other layers and pedit the centerlines and join to get one centerline. List to get total length.
thank you thank you, this one is very handy for me to use. now i am waiting for that registration code and sent the email to that guy. hope he respons since it is a little annoying the way it acts, freezing my autocad
Here's a lisp that will add up all of your lines, splines, arcs etc. Type TLEN at the command line, select your objects, done.
