free version Auutocad 2012

Good morning, I'm a jobless woman and I would like to

learn to use autocad 2012 as autodidact. Is it possible to have the free version for students?

Thank you and best regards

Contact a reseller in your region of the world and see if there an option: otherwise, no, unless you want to download a new variant every 30-days to learn the full AutoCAD offerings which should give you about 24-months if you start way back in 2012.

In addition to Dean's response, you can pick up some of the basics of CAD Drafting using the free-to-use Draftsight package, www.draftsight.com.  It can get you started with the basics, until you outgrow it.  When starting to learn a complex skill, sometimes is simple to begin with a limited tool.

Hi @irenem2014,

I believe the reference was to the AutoCAD 2012 trial that you could download however you can only install a trial on a computer one time before you have to activate. And even if you wanted to purchase a license, you wouldn't be able to buy one for 2012 as we only sell the current versions of our software which right now is the 2015.

Apologies for the confusion. Or @pendean please correct me if I misunderstood. Please let us know if you need further help. Thanks!

You download a trial of 2012, use it for 30-days, then you download a trial 2012arch and use it for 30-days, then you download a trial of 2012mep and use it for 30-days, then you diwnload a trial of 2012civil and use it for 30-days, then you download a trial of 2022map and use it for 30-days and so on.
When you run out of 2012 version trials you start all over again with the 2013 versions of them all. Then the 2014 versions of them all. Then the 2015 versions of them all. And so on.

Yep it's painful: but free and legal and you wouldn't be lying on your resume when you list your software experiences 😉

Ok, I understand, but where can I download a trial of 2012? I'm only able to  find trials of 2015

Thank you

Hi @irenem2014

You can download the AutoCAD 2012 installer from our Virtual Agent and install it as a trial version, follow the instructions here on how to Download from Virtual Agent.
