Dear Friends,

I created some new custom line types using express tool featute in autocad and I saved it with a .lin extension. It is only available in that drawing itself. How I canget those line type in all my new drawings.

I tired to edit the default linetype file even it doesnot appear in the linetype manger windo.

Anybody have a solution for this one.

*IRRIGATION,IRRIGATION LINE
A,1,-.066042,["IRR",Standard,y=-.104589,s=.25],-.493243,1
*SEWARAGE,SEWARAGE LINE
A,1,-.031293,["SEW",Standard,y=-.104589,s=.25],-.651197,1

Hi,

>> How I canget those line type in all my new drawings.

You can use DesignCenter to drag&drop linetypes from one drawing to another

You can open your default template load these new linetypes into this drawing and save that drawing "as template", so every time you start a new drawing based on that template you'll have these linetypes automatically included.

Some info on templates >>>click<<<

thank you for your replay.

It is better if I can get in the custom line type manger. Instead of doing the steps.

Thanks

To create a new template is a step to be done once, all other options have to be done every time newly.

You should have a support path pointed to the locaion of you .shp and .lin files, that way autocad will load them on startup.

After you have that completed. "Linetype" > "LOAD" > "FILE" > browse to the .lin you created

(if you dont do what I mentioned above you will get errors.)
