XLIST

In Autocad 2011, when using XLIST to check the layer name it includes the name of the XREF with the layer name.

Unfortunately because of the length of some of our xref''s it does not show the full name of the Layer, for which i am using XLIST for.

Is there any way of getting round this problem or will i hope Autodesk can take this into account when producing the next version of Autocad (Possibly putting the layer name on its own seperate layer or a wider window..?)

If you want to turn off / turn on / vport freeze / set color to layer of an xref entity, you can try LAYER.vlx.

From cad-adict I learned that one can type "-xlist" and have the name listed on the command line, which has room for longer names.

This way also gives you chance to copy the text, if required.
