While being panned, a drawing changes its color.

Guys,

When I start panning a drawing in AutoCAD 2011, it immediately assumes a color of the background. Is there any way to prevent that from happening (so a drawing stays as it is while being panned)? Thanks.

What you are asking doesn't make much sense. Or, at least, my feeble brain can't make sense of it.

What exactly is it that 'assumes a color of the background'?

Are you saying the objects (lines and circles, etc.) of the drawing become the same collor as the background and you can no longer see them?

I am working with map images creating pavement marking plans. The background color is currently grey. When I start panning, the map itself becomes grey, too. All I can see is whatever I drew - solid and broken white line and whatever.

The background of the drawing itself. So I am able to see only what I put on it.

im not sure how to maintain images while panning

It worked! Everything's fine now. The image stays as it was, when I pan it.
