Visual Styles

In my model i need to display in 3D. When i change the visual style from 2D Wireframe to 3D Hidden nothing is changing.

Its not a problem with the software as if i draw a cube in the model this changes but my model still does not.

Also the model is imported from Tekla Structures in the same way as the 20 a week and this is the only one which i have had problems with.

Any ideas?

Hi,

>> Also the model is imported from Tekla Structures

have you tride to create your own box and check that in a new drawing?

Are you sure the the imported model is 3D and not just projected? Can you upload (at least some parts of) the drawing so we can look into it?

What you also can try:

  • what happens if you set the visual style to "realistic" or any other mode?
  • what happens if you turn off (or turn on) the hardware-acceleration (command _3DCONFIG ==> Manual tune)

I have tried the other Visual styles and also am having no luck.

As you can see in the attached image. The ball on the top of my tripod had changed to shades of grey but my drawing has not.

Hi,

if you select one of these geometry objects, what type are they?

And if they are of type line or polyline without a thickness/extrusion you only have 2D elements placed in 3D-space. And as 2D elements are not renderable you also have no visual effects like render of hidden available then.

But again, if you upload the drawing we can get sure about what's happening.
