I have a drawing which has 3 viewports in it, two of the viewports are ok but with the third one when i try to have a leader from it to a text box outside the viewport in paperspace, the section of the leader within the viewport is blanked out,. I have tried bringing the leader to the front and sending the viewport to the back along with regenning the drawing to no avail. the leader works ok with the other two viewports no issue there but with the third one it just will not work. The viewport is used for viewing a location using a raster map image and it does show the leader / line object when zoomed out and disappears again when the line goes over the raster image.
Any ideas?

yes and when you cross the viewport it still shows then as the leader continues over the raster image it disappears while still remaining visible in the area not covered by the raster and in paperspace.
I have attached the drawing.

Ok and this is just a guess since the raster images were not included in the drawing. The raster image backgrounds are white.
Your multileader is white as well. White on white will obviously not show. Just for your sake so you can see it's still there change it to a colour like green or red.

Tried this, didn't work, got me thinking though with regard to transparency, when i tinkered with this it showed the leader, however it doesn't resolve it.
Couple of things to consider -- first off, how does it Plot or Preview? leader still invisible, or does it show up then?
In the Plot dialog, is "Plot Paperspace Last" checked?
In your pagesetup, is the "Display Plot Styles" option checked?
I was having the same problem, I just switched from 2011 to 2016 and i'm guessing not all my settings got migrated to the new version. you can fix the problem by setting the Visual Style of the viewports to 2D wireframe. If you need to plot the viewports with hidden features use the MV command/ Hideplot. This worked for me. I hope this helps.
Thanks for posting your suggestions. A lot has changed over the years of 2011-2016 in AutoCAD.
Yes a lot has changed but i also had the same issue back in AutoCAD 2011, that's how I knew how to work around the problem.
