I know this thread is old but I'm getting this error too. I'm running windows 7-64 bit and my install paths are the vinalla defaults. I'm also running the exe's with administrator priveledges. Anybody out there know what the problems is?
Error 1624 means that the during the update installation, Windows installer was not able to find the original product installation content and could not resolve the path to the transforms file (.mst file). This typically happens if an Autodesk product was installed via web ("Install Now" method, instead of "Browser Download") or via deployment.
To resolve this issue, you need to reinstall your copy of Autodesk software, or verify that the transforms path under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\_here_should_
Awesome. Now please convince the install guys to include your explanation in the error message instead of just some code number. Or at least, include a clickable URL to a KB article that explains it clearly like this.
Think of the collective time saved on the user ends out there.
That's Heresy I tell you!! a genuine helpful error message in a software product is simply beyond the pale. Next thing you know it will be snowing in corpus christi!
