The minimum and suggested specs are available on the Autodesk website for each software package.  Pick the system that meets the suggested specs for the most taxing program.

Hi Jon,

Thanks for taking a minute to discuss my "super-computer" post, sorry for the repeated typo on the work specify. I am aware of the minimum specifications, however I am looking for the recommendations/specifications for a monster computer, not the minimum requirements.

Nobody can tell you that, except maybe the sales guy (who's on commision). Look at the recomendations for the products you want to use, and notice the common theme

- fast processor - get the fastest (read reviews and look for problems - if it has bad reviews go for the next one down - and never buy one thats new to the market)

- Large resolution screen (prefferably two - and both the same)

- Graphic card with own memory supported by Autodesk

- As much memory as you can fit in the computer case (And the case itself, it just just has to be pink - but thats personal taste):smileyhappy:

Check the hardware discussion forum, there's plenty of users discussing what they have and how well it works.  Just remember, past a certain point you are just throwing money at it while getting little if any noticeable improvement.  For most purposes, roughly $2K will get you an excellent box.
