Steering Wheel look/move speed

Is there any way to increase the speed the 'move' part of the look function moves when using the steering wheel?

I really like the idea of being able to navigate fully using mouse & keyboard (kinda like an FPS really) use the mouse to look and the keyboard to move - however the move speed is painfully slow -almost undetectable. I believe is probably due to assumptions made on unit size - (I work in mm).

The steeringwheel settings dialogue allows some adjustment on the 'walk' speed, but that has no effect on the move speed when looking.

Any ideas anyone?

Hi dear,

There is a variable to make the scrol options set to fine tuning to have more precision when you scroll your steering wheel.

The variable to enable this option is: "ZOOMFACTOR"

Controls how much the magnification changes when the mouse wheel moves forward or backward.

Type: Integer
Saved in: Registry
Initial value: 60

Accepts an integer between 3 and 100 as a valid value. The higher the number, the more the change.

NoteIn contrast to versions prior to AutoCAD 2013-based products, the result of zooming in and out by the same number of mouse wheel notches results in no net change to the magnification.

Sorry the variable you mentioned has no effect on the walk speed when using the nav-wheel look feature. it does have an effect on the amount zoomed by the mousewheel, but that's not what I was after.

That's more like it. Smiley Happy

It's odd but 3dwalk seems to be a different implementation of the walk feature on the nav wheel, the behavior of the mouse when panning/looking is preferable on the navwheel version as you are not constrained by the cursor position on the screen, however I do like the rest of the 3dwalk function, particularly the palette which displays an overview and co-ordinate data.

Thanks for the tip!
