I have a delay when switching back and forth between model space viewports, any suggestions?

Not enough information. Try again.

Is the problem one file, or every file you have?

Windows system?

AutoCAD fully patched/updated? Are you using plain AutoCAD 2012 or some other variant?

DWG file size?

3D I presume?

Any XREFs?

Is it slow when you switch from layout to layout ?

Which value for LAYOUTREGENCTL ?

Default = 2

The problem is every file I have.

Windows XP

Plain Autocad through Design Suite

Yes 3D and Yes quite a few Xrefs....file size varies but it is slow for all.

Hello

An other idea : did you try to remove all possible Scale Annotations ?

( in ALL yours DWGs : the Main DWG and ALL XREFs )

Command: SCALELISTEDIT

Please Remove ALL possible Scales ... and resave the DWG ...

Should Layoutregenctl be set to 0 or 2?

Hello

Normal Value is 2 (two) for layoutregenctl ...

It consumes a liitle bit more memory, but the switching is faster (No Regen)

I have a problem when I open multiple drawings. Sometimes the viewports lag as I zoom in whilst in paper space.
