Selected Image Hides Underlying Geometry

When I grip-select an image, or pick it at the "select objects" prompt, the image hides all other geometry behind it. Troublesome when trying to fine-tune the image(png background) location relative to other entities.

Image transparency on, draworder back, monochrome, image @ 0'-0"Z.

Image looks fine until I pick it.

Simple toggle in 2011? Thanks

When selected, the object becomes active and comes to the front: do you need to measure and move the object by actual distances instead of an eye-ball nudge?

Does moving all the other objects to the FRONT lessen the issue? Or the image at a small minus-Z distance so that it is truly under all the other objects?

Thanks. I know I cant snap to the image contents, just eyeballing.

Problem is that I cannot see what I am eyeballing TO.

Moved image to a negative Z, no good.

Moving other objects to front does not help.

This issue is new in 2011. When image is selected, its contents disappear, and its frame becomes like a face or a wipeout.

Please see attached.

IF nothing else works...

go to paper space, put in 2 concurrent viewports for the same area (copy/paste with Shift-ctrl-c/-v for basepoint),

then you can freeze the image in the "top" viewport" with the linework....

a runaround but might help :smileysad:

Can you attach that part of the drawing and the image here. I like to see why it doesn't work for you.
