When i drag or attach my one line diagram to my sheet, the symbols don't maintain their scale, why?

The sheet is set to the same scale as the diagram.

You are probably inserting the symbols from paper space to model space.

First of all.....Thanks for reading!

Not the case.

I drafted everything in model space.  I did change the size of the symbols in the construct maintianing the scale of the drawing.  It all looks good in the construct and the view.  When I bring the view into the sheet the symbols get larger, the text remains the correct size but some of it has a different location.

A way out would probably be to explode the symbol before going to sheet.

Are the units in both drawings the same?  Check also the setting of your INSUNITS system variable.

Thanks.  I ended up just exploding the blocks and text and it worked fine.

I'm still working on understanding your original problem.  Let's see if I'm close:

You drew the symbols and created the blocks in Model space where they look fine?  But when you look at them in Paper space (a viewport in a Layout) the scale changed?  So you exploded them and resized them to look correct?  Is this the scenario?

Let me ask another quick question (assuming some of the stuff up above are close):  When you created the symbol block(s) did you make them Annotative by any chance?

All this goes to figuring out what happend and how to prevent it in the future.  Or... do things more efficiently next time. :smileytongue:

Dave.
