It's been a few years since I've worked in Acad 2008, I've been using 3ds max alot but that's it for Autodesk products; I recently got ahold of a copy of 2010 and have been re-learning the innerworkings of it.
I find myself constantly going from tab to tab; ribbon to ribbon; it seems nothing is layed out where I need it; my biggest problem is view; and annotations; but views mostly; is there a way I can doc (to the top just under all the other ribbons to the top right corner of my viewport) the views (ie Top, Left, Right, ISO) in a line from left to right so all I have to do is click on one box........ not scroll down a list....... not change ribbons....... not search amongst a tab; just a simple lineup of all the views I can quickly select?
Thank you for your time.
the easiest way is, perhaps, to use the command line, try
Enter toolbar name or [ALL]: view
Enter an option [Show/Hide/Left/Right/Top/Bottom/Float] <Show>: S
already have the view toobar on your display, moves it to the place you want, then you need to save the current Workspace, in this example mine was the "3D Modeling"
Save Workspace as <3D Modeling>:
"3D Modeling" already exists. Do you wish to replace it? [Yes/No]? <N> y
EDITED - in the Help, search for "Customize User Interface (CUI)" and see how you can customize your Workspace...
hope that helps
