Partial open box wondows

Hi,

For some reason my AutoCAD 2011 will open only a partial box window (open, print, save as, etc) with some of the contents missing.  Giving a new windows xp sesion (rebooting the PC) doesn't fix the problem.

Clueless,

Alex

Hi,

does print-screen for a screenshot not work for you? Or what happend to that screenshot, looks like copied with a bad copy-machine?

What I see looks like you need to update your display-driver.

What graphiccard do you have and what driver are you running on it?

Is it possible that you have a dual-screen-system and you started AutoCAD on the second screen? You can try to move the open-window to the other screen, then close it and reopen it. Normally it will then open on the screen where you closed it previously ... does it now have the hole area painted?

Alfred,

Sorry, but NONE of these applies to my PC.  Indeed, I have 2 monitors since last year, but everything was fine until 7-10 days ago.  And yes, the screenshot is real, there is no printer or printing problem!...

I'm thinking of my video card (NVIDIA Quadro FX 3450/4000 SDI, bios version 5.41) is acting up, but I would like to see others with the same annoying issue.

Thanks,

Alex

Hi,

can you then look into your control-panel ==> software ... what happend within these 7-10 last days? (don't forget to active the checkbox so you also see the updates installed).

Alfred,

Good tip, but nothing.  Driver's Date: 2/9/2012, and driver's version: 6.14.12.9573.

Thanks,

Alex
