New installation, unknown commands, fatal error

Just had Autocad 2011 installed on new pc's running Windows 7.  Of 4 pc's only 3 work fine, the 4th is having problems finding common commands, ie Properties, MA, MText....  The Acad.pgp is fine (those commands are present), the current profile was imported from the server, just like the other 3 pcs were.

I tried Repair, no change, then Reinstall, no help. After the last reboot I got a Fatal Error: unhandled exception access violation writing 0xff706900 exception at ff706900h.

Autodesk wrote back that I needed to install update 1.1 for 64 bit version of 2011.  I did this, rebooted, still no improvement, the above mentioned basic commands still aren't working.

Please help!

Hi,

If you have opened a support request with us I suggest that you update it with your results.

My suggestion is to make sure that your system has the proper requirements to run AutoCAD , including the graphics card and driver:

http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/cert?siteID=123112&id=16391880

If that is ok, check if the same happens if you install AutoCAD under a new local administrator account (after completely uninstalling AutoCAD):

http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=2887771&linkID=9240697

Try in Windows safe mode if necessary.

Hope this helps,
