Mouse-over highlight showing layer description

It would be great if the mouse-over highlight (i.e. the "Selection Highlight") could show the layer description. The actual layer name is often difficult to understand.

Any way of doing this without programming?

Hi Klas,

The properties that are shown when you highlight an object can be selected in the CUI dialog (see below) but the Layer Description property is not available in the list, I am afraid.

CUI > Customize tab > expand "Rollover Tooltips" in the top left box.

Now, select the object in the middle panel (e.g. line) and check the properties that you want to see on the right panel.

I will log a wishlist item for you.

Cheers,

Luciane
