MTEXT is rotated when i try to edit any MTEXT anywhere in modle or paper space.

Why is this happening?

The dwg was fine, then it crashed while changing from modle space to paper space...

When i recovered the dwg, EVERY MTEXT I try to edit becomes rotated vertically and stays that way when i close the edit box...

I do not recall hitting any buttons or making any keystrokes without my knowing...

Is there a way to get my text back to Horizontal and stay that way?

I tried setting the MTEXTFIXED to: 0, 1 & 2.

NONE of these options changed anything.

I NEED to have this fixed. more importantly, i need to know why this is happening sop that i can take steps to prevent this happening in the future...

ANY and ALL help will be greatly appreciated.

I am currently working with the latest CAD available.

Thanks

Steve

Don't use font with @ character in front ( e.g.    @arial.ttf)

Hi Patchy,

I really wish my problem were that simple...

in my dwg, there are no texts with the @ symbol in front of it.

If this is not the problem, do you what else it might be?

thanks for the help

It is not the text with the @ symbol, it's the FONT style.

Type in STYLE, enter

and see what FONT does it use

or double click the mtext and see the font (see pic)

I'm not using an @ font, and I'm still getting this. My font is simplex.

When I double-click to edit the text, all is fine until I scroll in or out, then it rotates to an angle.
