When I click on an object and highlight the nodes. Then when I click on a node to stretch or move the object it is taking everything else at that intersection point with it.How do I avoid this please. Any suggestions.

Hi,

The GRIP-STRETCH only stretches the selected objects. If there are other objects "under" that one grip you used to stretch it away there should not be stretched any non-selected object.

The only exception I can imagine is that you are speaking about a polyline that crosses itself and you grip the poly at a coordinate where are more than one polyline-vertex. In that case you would have to use command _PEDIT as this is the only chance (I know) to specify the vertex-number without picking it's coordinate.

Laura, your description makes me think if there is a "constraints" problem, if that, under Parametric menu, Delete Constraints and select the objets to remove constraints, then try to  stretch the object again.

hope that helps
