I can't open a saved drawing

Everytime I try to open my saved drawing, it just opens autocad 2012 with drawing1. I've been working on this drawing for weeks, and have saved and opened it many times without problem, and was working on it this morning and saved it again. Now, i've come back and it will no longer open. I can open other saved dwg files no problem. I've tried renaming the .bak file as a .dwg but that still won't work. Can anyone help me?

While in Drawing1, type in RECOVER, find that drawing, if it still dead you're in trouble.

Thanks!

I've just found the recover option 5 mins ago. Thankfully it worked.

Patchy,

I'm in AutoCAD 2013 and I tried this recover option you mentioned, but I don't get a response. I tried RECOVERALL command which let me choose a file to recover, but it responded saying it could not recover the drawing. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Open the folder where he drawings are, if you have a .recover.dwg try to open that one

If you have a .bak in the folder, rename .bak to .dwg and open it.

Hello

As said Patchy, open the BAK (rename it to DWG before) if you have it ?!

Even try to recover it ?
