How to turn a 2-D image into a 3-D image

I am trying to make a 3-D model from a 2-D sketch I made.  I have only worked in 2-D so I'm not sure on how to do that. I have a sketch of heart with two names on the inside. I want to make the heart solid while leaving the inside of the letters open so you can see through the letters.  Attached is the sketch I made. Any advice is appreciated.

You can use command PRESSPULL and pick between the letters and the heart.

or use EXTRUDE command,  after that use SUBTRACT command.

I tried that but all I was able to do was raise the letters.  I couldn't raise the heart or make them solid.

Because the heart shape isn't slosed (joined together)

You can use command REGION, select the heart, then extrude all entities in 1 shot.

Did you use Presspull (not Extrude)?
