Giving Back - Plots taking inordinately long time

From this therad:

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/AutoCAD-2011/plot-to-PDF-crashing/m-p/2884030/highlight/false

I had my plot server shut down for my wide format plotter. I was just plotting to PDF. The initial dialog box was looking for the wide format plotter. I had no present use for the wide format. It took 3 hours to plot about 8 11X17 PDFs.

I booted the plotserver back up and it started running fine again. Switch the Printer/Plotter > "Name:" value to PDF.

....and it's fast like a glare ice on a steep hill.

Hope this helps someone.

:-)
