Hi,

you can try:

- command _WBLOCK and seelect only the objects you need

- command _PURGE to free up definitions not needed (like block definitions, textstyles, dimstyles, linetypes, ...)

- if available you can try command _-EXPORTTOAUTOCAD to get rid of AEC-specific proxies.

If nothing helps upload the drawing to a free server and show us the link to that drawing so we can look into it.

Good luck, - alfred -

One more thing to look for....microstation linetype data embedded in the drawing. See http://cadpanacea.com/node/411 for more info.

If you can't share the drawing with us here, get SuperPurge and you should be able to find it yourself.

Hi,

Autodesk released the AutoCAD® DGN Hotfix for AutoCAD 2012 last week. This may resolve the problem.

Did you remember to PURGE the file after deleting everything? If no, then do so now.

If yes, you did run PURGE several times, thenStart BLOCK command: use the pulldown on that pop-up, is there a list of blocks? a long list of blocks?
Start LINETYPE command: is ther a long list of linetypes?

If that is referring the microstation linetype bloat problem, then FWIW, I have seen a couple of polluted drawings that did not show the linetypes as available, but did contain all the background garbage that bloats the drawing.
