Extruded numbers

I am attempting to bring an Inventor drawing into AutoCAD which has extruded numbers / letters. When I open the drawing in AutoCAD, the letters / numbers are somewhat "deformed" as you can see from the attachment. Is there a setting in AutoCAD to correct this on import?
