Diameter symbol displays small

Anyone know of a fix for the diameter symbol? When using the diameter dimensioning function the diamter symbol displays small. Presently using AutoCAD 2011 and dimensioning in accordance with ASME Y14.5M which states the size of the circle for the diameter symbol is equal to your text height. What is happening is when the symbol appears the line that goes through the circle is equal to the text height instead of the circle which in turn makes the circle smaller. We can fix this by editing every time but hoping someone knows of a fix or educate me on something I am missing. We have to abide by the ASME spec so the smaller symbol is not acceptable. Thanks

If they don't call for specific font, use Truetype font will solve it.

romans has always been choice of font and now combined with gdt font. I tried using the romans and gdt ttf fonts but the dimension including the diameter symbol look bold. Do you get the same result? Thanks

Autodesk changed something, in 2008 it shows full diam. symbol. When open with 2010, the symbol got smaller.

I thought the font got changed in 2010 so I used old 2008 font, NO LUCK.

Will dig up the variable, if there is one.

The 1997 romans font file works if you can get a hold of it. Question is, how long will this file continue to work? We are trying to resolve this now before it gets too late as we have encountered other problems as well when opening legacy data to revise drawings where special characters (counterbore, down arrow, countersink etc) come in as question marks! I did post this problem as well. Everytime the company upgrades to a newer version of AutoCAD (since R13) we have always had this same problem but like I have said the 1997 romans font file cures it, for now! curious why the 1997 font file works and no others?

Certain files you can not attach, chage its extension to .txt , then it will let you.
