Hello, I installed 2012 on my computer this morning.  I am having an issue with the DDEDIT command background.  I can not see the text once I do this.  I have set DTEXTED  to 1.  And still nothing.  Please give me some foresight on how to fix this please.

Thanks,

Jess

Hi,

could you post a screenshot of what you are seeing?

If create a new profile (Options > Profiles > Add to list), make this new profile the current profile, and reset it by clicking the Reset button - do you experience the same problem with DDEDIT?

Best regards,

Silvia

Thank you that did work. Now I just need to figure out all of my click settings.  Is there also an option that lets you do the math when drawing etc?  so when you go to type int he line length you can do 43-22.1875  etc?

Hi,

glad your DDEDIT is back to normal :-)

For calculations, you can use the CAL command, (transparent use: 'CAL).

For example:

Command: l
LINE Specify first point: 0,0

Specify next point or [Undo]: 'cal
>>>> Expression: 500-300

Resuming LINE command.

Specify next point or [Undo]: 200

Specify next point or [Undo]: 'cal
>>>> Expression: 1520-250

Resuming LINE command.

Specify next point or [Undo]: 1270

The command is described in the help here:

Best regards,

Silvia
