Creating a hole in a 3d fillet

I am relatively new to working with AutoCad and I am having trouble creating a circular hole in a solid object. I have tried to extrude a circle into a cyllinder on the solid object to create a cyllindrical hole (using SUBTRACT command). It ends up creating a slight indent on the solid but not the desired hole. Any assistance or guidance would be greatly appreciated 🙂

Post a drawing.  It sounds like the extruded hole is not actually where you expect it to be.  Use 3dorbit or any of the other methods to view your solid from another angle to check.
