Copy and Paste issues

Is anyone else having troubles with copying and pasting in AutoCAD 2010? It is so annoying and works about 50% of the time. I find that I can't right-click, copy something and then paste it, I have to use edit, copy and paste and that even works sporadically as well. Please help.

Thanks,
Jeremy

I have the same issue and haven't found a trigger for it to happen or a
solution to make it work correctly. I have noticed that the problem is
more pronounced whenever I try to c/p from a drawing with AEC content
back to vanilla Acad dwg.

Same here, when it happens I use the copy & paste on the ribbon home
tab. It is annoying. Not worth a reboot tho, which seems to fix it for
a while.

Hi Steve,

It is sporadic, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. It is so annoying! I have found that by going to Edit, Copy (versus right-clicking) seems to work the best, but even that is hit or miss. Good luck and let me know if you find any better solution.

Have a great day!

Sometimes when I paste and it says *invalid*, I do a purge and then try again and it works...
I hope my info was useful, but if by some odd chance it actually solved your issue, feel free to mark your post as "Accept as Solution". Thanks! :smileyhappy:

I have never gotten the "invalid" response, mine just seems to be grayed out all of the time. The paste to original never works, its always grayed out.

I used to use the Ctrl+C and Ctrl + V to copy/paste between drawings. and every so often my AutocAD WOULD CRASH. On reporting the problem I was told to disable "dynamic Input' which i did andnow it works fine. Though my screen (with the command line) looks like rel. 10.
Too scared to install the update.....

Have you tried copy with base point? Never had any problems using that.

I am not sure what the dynamic input has to do with copying and pasting. I dont use this feature, its always turned off, and I still have issues copying and pasting.
