For all the civil drafting guys out there... I'm always trying to find an innovative but simple ways to dimension and annotate crossing streets in road construction projects. More specifically, when we have a layout sheet for both streets. It would be so much simpler if dimension text could match layout orientation. Anyways, I typically fall back to creating multiple layers and freezing vp layers (ie: dim a, dim b, etc.). I just can't bring myself to annotate in paperspace.
I'm curious what others are doing?
Have a good weekend!
I use civil 3d but still work on alot of jobs are that are done in autocad. I utilize the line labels in civil 3d for my fully integrated design/drafting projects but when i work for others as a draftsman then i'd have to explode them and exploded dimensions don't look very professional when we send the cad files out and mistakes can be made when future changes are made.
