Cannot remove data extractions from xref manager

Hi,

In my dwt file I see three data extraction items in the xref manager.
At the bottom it says "Data link selected: Cannot reload, detach or bind."

How can I remove these?

Short answer, it's broken and you can't.

Long answer, there is a utility available called superpurge that has a 30 day trial, afterwhich you are forced to purchase it if you wish to keep being able to remove data extractions. It isn't cheap if you are only going to use it to remove data extractions.

Annoying!

Thanks for reply.

I assume AutoDesk will have a fix for this in the
"near" future...

Did you try loading the ACAD 2D workspace, and then loading the menubar, and then selecting Tools -> Data Links -> Data Link Manager?

Then try selecting the links, right click, select delete.

I have the same issue and unfortunately the Data Links Manager does not have anything to do with the Data Extractions.
The DE links are coming in from my 2008 template but never showed up in the xref manager before. So far it hasn't hurt anything by them being there but it is rather annoying. I have about 15 of them showing up and it is kind of a pain when you start adding Xrefs and you have to search through a bunch of crap to find what your looking for.
I have started a brand new fresh 2010 drawing that I am recreating our templates from. So far it is the only way I have found to get rid of them.
