AutoCAD slows down after using Block Editor?

AutoCAD will be running fine but if i use the Block editior everything suddenly slows down.

It doesn't matter what block I edit or if I even edit a block but if I open and then close the Block editor it slows considerably.

I have treid Regen, Purge, Audit, Turning off snap's, Polar Tracking etc but nothing seems to help with the exception of closing and resrting AutoCAD

Any Ideas?

PC specs? Windows version? Video card?

DWG file location?
Method you access those DWG files if remotely located and not on your PC?

i have this same issue. i believe its an element within the drawing itself. try creating a new blank drawing, run purge and audit. then create a single block, edit it, and see if it still lags. if not then its something within the drawing and not your hardware or a code issue w/ cad.

as far figuring out what block/object within your drawing it is, good luck :smileywink:

Thanks.

I actually found a workaround by chance.

If after editing the block and returning to model space i simply "zoom extense" it seems to sort itself out!
