I am at my witts end.
I've read all the forum messages, implimented all of the suggestions/codes, clearner scripts and bat routines.
I've tried 3 different antivirus programs and I still cannot kill the worm that is creating these files in every folder where I open a drawing.
I've searched high and low for the 15 alias the virus has and none but the acaddoc.lsp file is found.
does anyone have a real solution?
to start, you clean up the TEMP folder, that's where it usually lives.
Then you seach by CONTAINING WORDS; use Acaddoc , it will take a long time to find files containing such word, then delete the virus.
Also find ACAD.lsp or ACAD.fas, They could be the one that create the ACADDOC.lsp
Blind link on a thread about a virus?
I would never recommend trying to automate removal of this. Its too easy to miss something. The first, best, and most effective is a no-exceptions, top-to-bottom manual excavation of everything attached to the network.
Most antivirus programs nowadays should be able to detect and remove AutoCAD viruses. What are the three programs that you tried? You may need to run a scan on your file server along with your workstation system.
If this is a new virus that you have been "lucky" enough to encounter, please contact the technical support for your antivirus software. They are the experts on this and know what to do to isolate a new threat.
I have a similar problem with this Acaddoc.lsp file creating itself in every folder where I open a drawing from.
Our company uses an Acaddoc file to create standard drawing templates. I have searched (including hidden folders) for documents containing "acaddoc" and replaced any that are not the company standard one with the company standard one - seams to have stopped the acaddoc file from creating itself - for now - though this is not a solution it might be part way to it
Hi - Our drawing files are riddled with the acaddoc.lsp and acad.fas viruses. Does Autodesk have a solution for this? Kaspersky fails to eradicate either of the virus files. It can delete the acaddoc.lsp file but not the acad.fas file and scans don't pick up either of the files. Any advice on this would be helpful. Thanks!
