AutoCAD Crashes Forever

I would seriously like to know why every AutoCAD product I use crashes 3-8 times a day and has every day for the last 14 years.
Versions 12 through 2010. No improvement in terms of crashes. All my co-workers have the same issue.

I work for a large engineering firm and they have provided me with an extremely powerful workstation and that is NOT the issue.

I use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MEP & P&ID. They're all the same. They crash so much that Autodesk has a 'super' built-in tool to attempt to deal with these frequent failures. Why not just solve the problem instead of spending a ton of money designing and programming the 'recovery manager'. The recovery manager is effectively saying "Yes, we know our software fails all the G** D*** time and this is the best we can do for our customer".

Why not stop making every flavor of AutoCAD vertical applications under the sun and just focus on making your flagship application stop failing all the time? Really! Please tell me why continuous failure is acceptable to Autodesk.

If I failed as often as AutoCAD, I would get fired from my job.

Have you, in all this time, considered using a different product?
If you bought a car that wouldn't run all the time, you would keep
buying the same car?
Just asking....

Does this sequence bring up the crash report dialog? If so what email
address are you entering for the report? If I know the email address I can
locate the reports you've sent in to see if there's something obvious going
wrong.

Have you all considered an outside 3rd party consultant to figure it out?
3-8times a day per staffer for 14 years is ridiculous and not an experience
shared by most of us. We don't have those stats for weekly between all of
us.

or they bought a diesel car and trying to put gasoline in it. Hardware has a
BIG part in it. crashing that much over a 14 year span and your the only one
and your company complaining about it in the whole world. Leads me to
believe you have hardware issues or network issues. What are you computers
specs and how large are the files you work on? Could be as simple as you
have a corrupt block that is in your template files.

I have to agree.... I have been using AutoCAD since release 10, now on 2010 & it sucks! I had been working on 2010 since Oct 09 with windows XP which was great but since we had new systems (windows 7) past 2 months every day at least every other drawing crashes each time I go to close the drawing. To top it off it's not just my machine it's everyones! It is most annoying & really wish that Autodesk would solve these technical problems. I LOL when the drawing recovery part was mentioned! Help!!!!!! It's driving me insane :-(
