Assigning a name for an object to use it in a program

Hi,

I am writing a program in MICROSOFT EXCEL to create a sprocket profile,.

Earlier I tried to create it using AUTO LISP, but I do not know Auto lisp fully, I failed,.

I am familiar with EXCEL formulas, so I am creating it in MS Excel,.

I created half of the profile, now I have a problem,.

Now I need to use a object (circle) that I created in the program to continue the profile,.

But I don't know how to "call" that particular object,.

In Autocad is there any option to assign a name for that profile for "calling" it?

If my requirement is not understandable please let me know, I will explain,...

Thanking you

Hi,

First all depends on how you drive AutoCAD from Excel, are you creating a script in XLS and start the SCR then in AutoCAD or are you using Excel-VBA to control AutoCAD via COM? ... or any other way?

If you are using the way via VBA then you have created a circle and you just have to save it in a variable to use it later. As thät might sound simple I guess if you show your code (at least the part where you create the circle and then the position where you want to use it again, any suggestions would be easier.
