AutoCAD 2010/2011/2012 DWG Format

I know that anyone who has done any 3d modeling will know what I'm talking about, but to be safe I'm including a picture.....I'm modeling a rack in 3d, and I'm getting little gray squares, perhaps indicating 'interference' conditions.  Can anyone tell me what they mean, and how they shut their display off?  Thanks very much!

they look like polylines...? with assigned width...

Change the linetype on the layer to continuous instead of fenceline2.....

No worries.  Was a good little puzzle - purged, cleaned, removed registered apps, checked out materials etc and nothing would work til I spotted the pesky critter in the layer manager..........

Interesting DWG... guessing it's a swimming pool from the look of the fella in there...
