AutoCAD 2010/2011/2012 DWG Format

Hi,

as you get a second link for download from anyone at Autodesk ask that person if he can try the unpackaging? I think it's needed for you to verify if it's the sourcefile or your download.

When the source-file at Autodesk is OK you have to get the file downloaded from another workstation/using another internet-provider.

If you send me the link (and no login-data) I also can try if I get it downloaded with or without CRC-error.

Hi,

ok, I got your links via PM and downloaded them (I think that are the default links for downloading it as trial-version).

I copied the downloaded files into a folder C:\TEMP on a fresh Win7x64SP1 virtual machine and started the EXE with right-click and option "start as administrator".

All went fine, all installed, AutoCAD was startable without any issue.

I recorded the full session as video, if you like to see it (the file has some MB), I upload it anywhere.

So the result is: you need a clean Win7 installation,

One thought, just to make sure: if you download the files multiple times you get different filenames like filex(1).exe and file(2).exe .... so if you did a new download without deleting the files downloaded previously the unpackager may unpack the wrong file (and so you can download and download and download, it's always the same "first file" that may be used for installation).

ok download and extraction went fine, now getting this on installation;

do you really have enough rights to install?

When I read this message:

Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable (x86) Failed Installation aborted, Result=1603

... I would try to do the installation of VCREDIST/start this exe directly and see what happens:

C:\Autodesk\Autodesk_Design_Suite_Standard_2012_English_Win_64bit\3rdParty\x86\VCRedist\2010\vcredist_x86.exe

... or I would look into the log file that is reported to be saved here:

C:\Users\James\AppData\Local\Temp\vcredist_x86_2010.log

then remove the newer installation of VCREDIST (within Windows control panel ==> software) and start the installation of AutoCAD again.
