Currently I use AutoCAD 2011 and have a need to share files in formats other than dwg. Is there a way to open/save, import/export files from other Autodesk products such as Inventor, Revit, etc. and other formats such as .stp. or .cgr.

For vanilla AutoCAD you will want dwg, dxf or sat (ACIS v7 for older AutoCAD). (every CAD program that I am aware of can read/write at least one of these formats)
You might check out free Inventor Fusion for other file translations.
Fusion will read/write stp and dwg as well as several other types.

Awesome, that is what I am looking for. I can’t even begin to tell you the headache it has been trying to coordinate the different file types used today by the various CAD programs. I have tried many different programs to convert CAD files, and this by far was the easiest to use and it did exactly what I needed it to do. Thanks again for your help.

What stp file? I don't see your attachment.
Why didn't you ask this in the Fusion forum here?

Hi swishersr,
I have the latest version of Fusion downloaded, i only installed it a couple of weeks ago.
.....Oh and JDMather i didn’t attach the STP file as i can be just giving away vendor models to the entire internet & i posted here as i was unaware that there was a Fusion dedicated forum & this seemed like a logical thread.

Did you get the problem figured out?
Can you translate a simple cube?
It is not likely that anyone could give you any help without the actual file with the little information you provided.
