LOL you haven't told that in your first post

Anyway what product do you have? If you have AutoCAD Map3D or Civil3D you have the options using command _MAPIMPORT or _MAPCONNECT to import or to reference SHP-GIS-data.

If you don't have any of these products you may search www for convertes from e.g. SHP to DXF.

that's the problem that i have only autocad and inventor   ok, thanks, anyway, i think i have to ask our vendors to import them and send us back.

I have not asked for Inventor (it also can't use this type of GIS-data).

Have you looked than to my other tip like >>>this<<<?

i did some search trying to find something, but yuor search somehow gave better results - how do you do it? i think italian site looks promising - now all I have to do is to convince our IT guy that this is really nesessary installation - he is totally against any free software

Do you have just one GIS-dataset to convert or do you need it more often in the future?

If just one, send me a PM with your mail-adress and I convert it for you.

that what i am trying to figure out now - i am discussing it with our seniour engineers, and looks like they already asked vendors to transfer it and we won't have much of those in our future. but thanks anyway!!!!
