When I xref a drawing created by Practicad into my host drawing, the text size shows up less than half its normal size. This occurs regardless of choosing or not choosing any of the radio button options in the proxy info box that pops up when I open the drawing. It happens on both my desktop and laptop. Practicad (MetaLab Inc.) web-x'd into my computer and confirmed the enabler is installed and the issue has noyhing to do with them. My host drawing scale is set to the same scale as the xref.

OK - I attached the xref to a clean template, bound it and exploded it. When I select one of the undersized text objects, the properties palette reveals that it is standard text set to a 3" height. However, the measuregeom tool tells me its about 1.25" in model space. This is too small to be legible on a 3/8" scale print. I have attached a portion of the xref to this reply. The problem lies only with the Practicad text objects. The non-Practicad text objects are fine.

How would I know what is what in your file?
You have a mix of blocks with attributes, Mtext and Text objects at various sizes from 2" to 4.25".
And it could serious use a PURGE ![]()

OK - I clouded some of the objects and I purged. Can you please take another look?

See attached screenshot of your file that I just opened: I placed text in white, 3" high, next to your clouded objects.
These measure 3", what you want I believe: correct?

Yes. I need those practicad text characters to remain as 3" model space height when when they appear as an xref in my host drawing. I need them to stop shrinking.

It sounds like the textstyles are either not being sent or they are being purged out. Never purge a Practicad file the tradional way as the teststyles still purge out regardless if they are being used. If they are missing, ask the company that sent the drawing to send you their template and insert it back into the drawing so all of the textstyles comes with it.

As I said, it appears as if the styles are missing. Select a text and look at the proepties for the name of the style, then look in the list of textsyles in the drawing itself and see if the name is there. If not, then you need to have the company resend the file without purging it or just have them send their drawing template. If you insert the template as you would a block and hit esc when it asks for the insertion point, it will bring all of the styles in.
