I receive drawings by email with odd colours some of which are not good for plotting i.e. yellow I have forgotten how to creat a file so that when I plot a drawing it will change these colours to the ones I want, any help?

Ask the file creator/sender for their plot style table is the best way to do
it.
STB or CTB? Their application is different.
PLOT command, make sure it is fully expanded, select the plot style table
you want (monochrome is there) and test the results.
STYLESMANAGER command to copy monochrome, edit and make it your own.
