    hello all,
If anyone could help me out I would appreciate it.

Im working on project that involvles structural tee
    WT3 X 6 to be exact.

when labeling the this item, out customer requested we also list the metric
    equivalent of the piece also.
my company doesn't normally deal with structural steel like this
so if anyone could help me and provide me with maybe some type of conversion
sheet or any info that would show me the equivalent of this steel piece in
english and metric I would very much appreciate it

    thanks

Do you need the dimensions of the metric tee that is closest to this
one, or the metric dimensions of the WT 3x6?

I do not see a close match at
    http://metricmetal.com/products/metrictee.htm, but there are other
sources, especially if it is cut from a W shape as the WT 3x6 is.

    A-36 steel? A-57? Be careful.

I have worked on auto parts plants in the US (none recently, alas),
where very specific metric wide flange shapes were specified by the
Japanese equipment manufacturers for support structures. Determining
imperial equivalents that were structurally equivalent and also provided
required clearances usually took numerous conversations with Japan.

    A WT3X6 IS 3.015" DEEP WITH A 4" FLANGE.
Stem is 0.230" thick and flange is 0.280" thick. To convert to mm
    multiply inch dimensions by 25.4

Metric steel comes in different sizes than AISC sizes. I have a program
to draw AISC members and *some* metric members (W,R,C and A shapes) but
no WT shapes. However, WT shapes are cut from W shapes so I would think
that a metric W shape of 150UB14 would be proper. See attached:

    None,
the call out of the size 150ub14 is what im looking for
    its appreciated

would you happen to have a list of all the sizes or was this something you
    pulled off your program?

would you know where I could find a list?
ive been googling for 2 days and im not able to find any type of list that
shows the english to metric conversions
