i had a detail sheet that i deleted from the sheet set manager and when i reinserted the sheet, i lost all the associations to the callout block. is there an easier way to get those associations back without reinserting each detail?

Did you use fields?  If you did I would imagine just updating the fields, sometimes doing a regen updates Sheet Set custom fields if you used those also.  I am not totally sure on this, haven't used Sheet Sets in a while and not sure if I am remembering correctly.

i did use the fields and regen didn't update the info on the sheets referencing the detail, only on the sheet that the detail was placed and i had to replace those callout blocks. i was just really hoping to not have to replace EVERY detail...'cuz there are a lot of them. thanks for your help.

Sorry I couldn't help too much on your issue, I kept the sheet set fields only to the objects that would change if adding or deleting a sheet. (1 of, C1.01, C2.01,Project Name and such).  Use custom fields for other stuff like project location or number, everything else that didn't change was in an attributed titleblock that was Xref'd.
