Yet another processor question

I've looked at all the posts, and cannot find an easy answer. Maybe there isn't one...
I have been tasked with purchasing a new laptop for AutoCAD, we'll be running Windows 7 64 bit. All the specs make sense until the processor. The machine that has been proposed has an Intel i5-2520M processor at 2.5GHz with a 3MB cache. How does that compare with the required Intel Pentium 4 processor or AMD Athlon, 3 GHz or greater; or Intel or AMD dual-core processor, 2 GHz or greater?
Thanks in advance.

You should be fine. According to the Intel website, that chip is a dual core chip running at 2.5 GHz, so it is above the 2GHz recommendation for a dual core chip. I have a Core 2-Duo E6600 at 2.4 GHz, Win 7 Pro, and 8g of RAM and ACAD 2012 runs great. Just make sure you have a decent graphics card.

Thanks! I didn't see that the requirement was for Intel OR AMD dual core...
