AutoCAD 2010/2011/2012 DWG Format

Does anyone know of a program that is capable of unfolding a shape as attached?

I've tried "SmartUnfold" from Solid3DTech but is giving me way too many line segs.

You should ask the Autodesk Inventor Group, plain Autocad can't do Unfold.
