Phantom Lineweight s that can't be purge

This may have a very simple solution that I am overlooking, but recently I have received a number of files that have what I have been describing as phantom linetypes and phantom text styles.
They are behaving the same way that layerfilters behaved ages ago when Autodesk introduced them.
I cannot get rid of them. Any entity that is copied from one file to the next brings this whole assortment of linetypes and textstyles.
I cannot purge them.
The AECTOACAD command doesn't help.
There is no entity associated with them.
I have even saved a file as a DXF, saved that as n R14 file, and then reopened it only to find these still there.
Any ideas?
Attached is a file created from a blank template. I copied a line into this file (copyclip) and it brought all the unpurgable linetype and textstyles with it.
Thanks.

Did it save from REVIT or something other than Autocad ?

I believe that the source of the problem has been from consultant files that we've received. I am sure that someone on the team is using Revit and I'm sure someone is using Civil 3d. I also suspect that someone on the team has brought some sketchup into the mix at some point.
It's a jumble of programs being used.
The linetype names all seem to be in an AutoCAD x-ref nomenclature though. It looks like someone bound an x-ref into a drawing.

Hi,
have you tried to use _WBLOCK then with the option "selected objects"?
Before you start it turn all layers on and thaw them (at least the ones you need) and then select these objects with a window-selection in the modelspace)

Open one of your proplem drawings run the DXFOUT command. Open the newly created DXF file and then run the PURGE command until there is nothing left in the DXF file to purge. Save to a DWG file.

Patchy what version of Autocad are you using. I'm able to DXFOUT and then purge the DXF file just fine in Autocad 2013 and Autocad 2013 LT. See attached DXF and DWG file

It looks like that worked!
Thanks.
Opening it as a DXF and then purging from there eliminated a bunch of anonymouse groups named *A[and then a number]. The mystery un-purgable linetypes were nested in there.
I saw that someone posted this about anonymous objects: http://www.draftsperson.net/index.php?title=Anonym
I also saw that draftsperson.net had this: http://www.draftsperson.net/index.php?title=RAG_-_
Has anyone used that?
Thanks again for your help.

Hi,
most likely you problem is caused by x-refs and maybe importing .dgn data.
Please see this link for a more detailed explanation:

Had this problem when I had Architecture-suit, tried everything to get rid of a linetype, didn´t succeed. Have nowadays the suit with Map3D, in fact only using plain AutoCAD, but I got rid of my junkline. Had an old drawing from 2007 as sort of template at that time to solve this issue, I always copy a useful drawing instead of using AutoCAD template.
