    Paperspace Plotting in Modelspace

    Greetings All,

This is a curious issue and  one that has come up a numbers of times.  In the plot dialog box the options Plot paperspace last and Hide paperspace objects are only supposed to be available in Paperspace however they show up as checked in some of our drawings when plotting from Modelspace.  They should be greyed out then.  (see attached)  If I copy/paste all objects into a new drawing everything is fine.  If I delete all layout tabs the options are still checked when plotting in model space.

The only thing I can figure is there are paperspace entities in my model space or that somehow paperspace is leaking through into modelspace.  OK, maybe not leaking but I'm baffled as to why this is happening.  Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Keith

Post a DWG with the problem, I cannot replicate in my files.

there are 36 blocks in your drawing, can it be some of them include layout?

Not sure what you mean by a block having a layout but I'd have to say no.  If everything is copy/pasted into a new drawing the issue goes away.  If all the blocks are deleted and purged the issue remains.

    Thanks,

This drawing is corrupted badly, when using PAGESETUP, it shows 2 modes: Model and Layout1 and it will not delete the one in the different space.

You're right on, copy and paste in a new empty drawing and move on.

Dang, I was hoping for a quick fix as I've got quite a few of these.  It does explain a lot so maybe I can get some sleep tonight!

    Thanks!
