What converter, there are none in R2012. Do you need to post on their website?

Is the text in your PDF selectable as text in your PDF Reader? Does your coverter even convert text? Both must be true for a program to do what you want.

I am curious to know how you performed your pdf to dwg conversion.  The method I have found is a website outside the autodesk realm -- http://www.convertpdftoautocad.com/ -- their free conversion retains text as true, searchable text.

It all depends on how the PDF is storing the text.

If it's TEXT in the PDF, then some programs can retreive this as TEXT in the DWG.

If it's lines in the PDF, then it will probably be lines in the resulting DWG (unless the app includes and uses OCR)

PDF exchange viewer has an internal OCR function. Maybe it can help in conversion.

I recommend Any PDF to DWG Converter, good converting process. AideCAD has a PDF to DXF Converter converts PDF file to DXF format.

Try this one before you pay for any of the other ones out there.  It filled our need perfectly and its an open source app.  Lightweight and works inside AutoCAD:
