AutoCAD 2010/2011/2012 DWG Format

The F8 key has been used for years to turn ORTHO on or off. The option to pick ORTHO on the status line below the drawing area has always been available as, since AutoCAD 2006, holding down on the SHIFT key will give you instance ORTHO.

However on my laptop I have AutoCAD 2010,  and this feature does not work. On the other PC AutoCAD 2009 installed, and works fine. Is there a setting to be ajusted or something else that I havo no idea.  Anybody have an anwser or a clarification...

Hi,

for me it works with 2010 too. And I would not know a sysvar that does influence it working or not.

Have you installed the latest servicepack for AutoCAD?

Does that happen only in one drawing or also in new ones?

What happens if you login to your workstation with anohter user-account and try it again (so the AutoCAD profile is as clean as possible).

TEMPOVERRIDES,  should be 1......this is exactly what makes sense to resolve my small deception with Semi- Ortho,
