    Metric Conversion

I created a drawing in Metric, from an Architect's print.

I finally received their drawing in a workable format, that I inserted the building I drew, into their drawing, both are in Metric.

For some reason, my drawing comes out HUGE in their drawing file. When I scaled it down, the building just didn't match up at all, even though all the dimensions were the same.

I really need help with this one quickly, if I could trouble someone to take a look at the drawing.

When an Architect uses Autodesk Architecture and you're using plain Autocad you shouls check this "AECDWGSETUP" as you can see in the two photos attached. Both should be the same.

I don't have that command in basic AutoCAD 2012.

    I just have AEC Version

It was a real problem with Civil and Architecture too, one use decimal of a foot and one use feet and inches.

Only fix is to scale one the drawing (the one that don't use AEC)

That's the problem I'm having, I don't know what to scale too. I have two drawings, drawn in metric, to the exact same dimensions, and when I try to combine the two drawings, they don't match up at all.

I swear if this is an Autodesk issue I am going to be extremely upset. Do you realize how embarrassing it will be to go into my boss and just shrug my shoulders and say I don't know what the deal is?

I mean which drawing is correct?

Your archi uses meter, you're using mm

scale your drawing down 1/1000 ;  it will mess up dimensions, if you can copy the dimension style from your archi and use it, it will be the same.
